A beautiful ceremony is a team effort. Over 18 years and more than 1,800 ceremonies, I’ve learned that the best days happen when everyone works together smoothly. Here’s what you can count on when we work together.
Planners & coordinators
- I share the ceremony timeline and order of events well in advance.
- I follow your run of show and check in with you when I arrive.
- I help line up the processional so everyone enters in the right order, at the right pace.
- I can lead a rehearsal so the wedding party knows where to stand and when to walk.
- In 18 years I’ve only once needed a back-up officiant, so you can plan with confidence.
Venues
- I arrive early to walk the space and confirm placement, sound and the signing table.
- I’ve officiated at more than 300 venues across the Greater Toronto Area and beyond, and I respect each one’s guidelines.
- For outdoor ceremonies, I check in about weather back-up plans in advance.
Photographers & videographers
- I make sure the dress and veil fall just right, and that the couple is placed for the best light and angles.
- I step aside at the kiss so you get a clear shot of the couple.
- I’m happy to invite guests to an unplugged ceremony if the couple wishes.
- I pause at key moments, like the ring exchange, the kiss and the signing, to give you time.
- After the ceremony, I stage the licence signing for photos before the official signatures.
DJs & musicians
- I share cues for the processional, signing music and recessional.
- I’m comfortable with a lapel or handheld microphone, and I do a quick sound check before guests arrive.
- I signal clearly when the ceremony is ending so the music starts on time.
